You may need to temporarily separate your bands or move to the edge of your Wi-Fi range to force a 2.4GHz connection.
Battery Life Reality
The “30-day” claim is based on standard usage. In our testing, with 4 meals dispensed per day and checking the app once a day, the battery hit 15% around day 26.
Caveat: If the Wi-Fi signal is weak, the device works harder to stay connected, draining the battery faster. Also, if you constantly open the app to check logs, you will drain it faster. Charging takes about 8 hours, so you need to plan your charging cycle.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The disassembly is excellent. The “brain” (base with electronics) separates easily from the hopper and bowl. The food tank and stainless steel bowl are washable. The small size makes it easy to wash in a standard kitchen sink without splashing water everywhere.
